26. Gilsland Farm, Maine Audubon 2.5 miles

The Gilsland Farm Center is the headquarters of Maine Audubon. Visitors on foot are welcome on the property anytime from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, year-round. To protect wildlife and habitat, Maine Audubon requests that visitors do not bring pets or bikes to the sanctuary. Detailed maps are available at the environmental center. During winter months, snowshoes are available for rent.

The sanctuary's 65 acres include a dirt and grass trail network through the marsh along the Presumpscot Estuary. Trails wind gently with a moderate slope through the various habitats. The main trailhead is located near the front door of the environmental center at the end of the driveway. From there one can access all of the trail spurs and junctions.
