Haley Jaramillo, of Hallowell, Maine, joined Portland Trails as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator in September of 2018. Haley’s first introduction to the Greater Portland area was during her time as the Development Fellow with Friends of Katahdin Woods and Waters during the summer of 2018.
Haley is a daughter to a Registered Maine Guide and has grown up participating in a variety of outdoor activities in the Northern woods of Maine. She graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in Environmental Policy and Planning. Currently, she is completing her last semester before receiving a Masters Degree from the University of Southern Maine – Muskie School for Public Service in Public Policy and Non-Profit Management.
Haley is committed to building Maine communities through development and healthy living. She has worked for The University of Southern Maine and Somerset Woods Trustees. As well as having a diverse municipality background with experience working for City of South Portland, City of Gardiner, and the Town of Yarmouth.
Haley lives in Portland with her partner Gabe and enjoys exploring and experiencing new outdoor adventure opportunities.
