We always welcome more people into the Portland Trails community. We are currently hiring:
Do you love hearing people’s stories? Are you thrilled by connecting someone’s passion with a purpose? Are you lit up by spending time outdoors in nature? Do you see three moves ahead in each game you play? If you said “yes” to these questions, Portland Trails might be your next work home. We are a small staff team who operates like an ecosystem. We each have our niches but we rely upon each other for information, understanding, learning, energy and timely execution. We are looking for a strategic relationship-oriented team member who believes that trails are tools for building healthier, resilient and equitable communities. If being a self-directed team player is the right fit for you and if learning and growing with colleagues and dedicated volunteers sounds like fun, please consider applying for our Lead Fundraiser position. We are accepting resumes and cover letters on a rolling basis.
Do you enjoy working outdoors and solving unique challenges on a daily basis? Can you imagine yourself figuring out how to move a slab of granite a mile into the woods one day, and pruning a neighborhood trail with elder volunteers the next? Portland Trails is hiring one or two Seasonal Trail Crew members to conduct trail construction, trail maintenance, habitat enhancement, and other physical work throughout the trail network. For years, we worked to reduce physical barriers to trail access. Now that we have a trail within a half mile of every Portland residence, we are focused on the less visible but very real barriers to all people enjoying local trails and natural spaces. We are willing to hire a single full-time individual, or two part-time staff, depending on the finalist’s needs. Please let us know your preference when you apply. We are accepting resumes and cover letters on a rolling basis.
