Was yesterday the best day ever? Maybe! Our Incl Was yesterday the best day ever? Maybe!

Our Inclusion Coordinator, Angelique, organized a picnic in Riverton Trolley Park for residents of the Homeless Services Center and members of @inherpresence. She made an African feast for everyone to enjoy, the weather was beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time. In total, 53 people attended the event. As Angelique said afterward, “That wasn’t a picnic. It was a party!”

This was everyone’s first time on a trail since arriving in Maine! It was a beautiful day for a walk, and there were lots of smiles, selfies, and laughs along the way!

One of the major goals of the Healthier Neighborhoods for All program is to connect Riverton residents with local trails and all the health benefits — physical and mental — that come with them. Stay tuned for more updates!
