Jaime has been exploring the wild lands of Portland since moving from the western foothills of Maine to Munjoy Hill in 2000. With a degree in Natural Resource Management, a graduate certificate in Community Planning and Development, and practical experience in landscaping and contracting, it was only a matter of time before Jaime found Portland Trails. Now in his tenth year with Portland Trails, he has worked with thousands of people in the community to build and maintain some of Portland’s favorite spaces. Jaime has spearheaded placemaking and walkability projects throughout the city, and is an active voice in making Portland a more vibrant, walkable, and livable place.
